The second death
(Revelation 20: 6) “Blessed
and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second
death has no power…”
Did you know that you can die twice?
It’s a frightening thought that so many of us believe, that we are here today
and gone tomorrow. That is a lie! Although our human bodies have an expiry
date, it is not so for the soul or our spirits. That part of us is eternal. Why
is so little time and effort given to this reality? It’s obvious the majority
don’t believe this to be true, they are wrong! It’s time for the truth to set
us free. Aren’t you tired of all the lies out there? Although we are surrounded
by so many voices looking to be heard, it’s hard to know who to believe. I
realized that I too am amongst that number. How can you be sure that what I am
telling you is accurate? It’s not that difficult to work out, God has given
mankind a lifeline, and He has implemented this wonderful opportunity for all.
His only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ was introduced into the mix about
2000 years ago. God in the flesh, born of a virgin, in other words by an
immaculate conception. Similarly to the way God in the beginning created Adam
out of the dust of the earth, the first man, He too was personally involved
with Mary’s pregnancy. “And Mary said to the angel, “How will
this be, since I am a virgin?” And the angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the
power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will
be called holy—the Son of God.” (Luke 1:34-35) - She was impregnated
by the Spirit of God. Hence the reason that Jesus was born like every other
baby before Him but different in the sense that he was not tainted by man’s fall,
not contaminated by sin, even though sin throughout his life was used as a lure
to trip him up, he remain constant and never yielded to its enticement. He live
a life of complete obedience to the voice of God, his Father. Therefore this
allowed us, sinners to find forgiveness in HIM for our own personal sin. He
suffered the Christians punishment by dying on that cruel Roman cross, he was
sentenced for our iniquity and not his, as he had no sin.
This is why we are taught that HE, the
Lord Jesus Christ is the Way, the
Truth and the Life. Therefore if we want to align ourselves
with truth, we need to mirror what is being said by that which Jesus taught.
You have a responsibility to be astute. No one can do that for you, when we all
kneel before the judgment seat of God, and that day is coming for everybody, we
will have to give an account of our lives, not the lives of others. The
Christian on the other hand, will stand with the covering of Christ and
therefore escape God’s judgment, why? Because Christ has already been judged
for the sins of the world. He has personally paid the price for every
individual who has repented of their sin and called upon the name of Jesus,
believing in the resurrection. It’s these individuals that will escape the
second death, which carries with it eternal consequences and time without end
in the Lake of Fire.
This needs our serious attention
people, blinkers where designed for race hoses and it only the ostrich that hides
is head in the sand to avoid looming danger. This is how a verse in proverbs
explains it; the blind leads the blind and both fall into the ditch. Who will
you follow, the blind man (the opinions of those in the world) or the ONE who
is truth, the Lord Jesus Christ? I have made up my mind, I will regard HIS
voice.
Signing off
